Ong June Han 王君涵

Resident in Malaysia, June Ong previously trained with a specialist dispute resolution firm in Malaysia. She assisted in various complex and high-value matters, which included international commercial arbitration administered under the ICC rules, as well as litigation before the Court of Appeal and Federal Court of Malaysia. 


She is fluent in English, Mandarin Chinese and Malay.

Work Experience


Commercial Litigation Practice

  • Assisted counsel in acting for a multinational rubber glove manufacturer in litigation and arbitration proceedings relating to a pricing dispute of a supply agreement.

  • Assisted counsel in defending a tort claim against the Malaysian national electricity supplier for alleged trespass and damage caused to a submarine cable.

  • Assisted counsel in acting for the Malaysian Competition Commission (‘MyCC’) in opposing various appeals in relation to MyCC’s findings of abuse of dominant position, including appeals filed by Dagang Net Technologies Snd Bhd (‘Dagang Net’) in relation to MyCC’s findings that Dagang Net had abused its dominant position by engaging in exclusive dealing through the imposition of exclusivity clauses on software providers of the National Single Window.

  • Assisted counsel in acting for a multinational shipping agency in a dispute involving its resigned employees, uncovering a transnational fraudulent enterprise and securing a Mareva injunction over the shipping agency’s assets.

  • Assisted counsel in advising a multinational oil and gas services company on various issues arising out of production-sharing contracts and joint venture agreements.

Capital Markets and Securities Law Litigation

  • Assisted counsel in acting for a multinational healthcare provider on various matters concerning boardroom/takeover tussles alongside advising on listing requirements pursuant to the Bursa Main Market Listing Requirements and obligations under the Securities Commission’s Guidelines on Conduct of Directors of Listed Corporations and Their Subsidiaries.

  • Assisted counsel in a claim brought by Securities Commission Malaysia to recover an unlawful pecuniary gain in a public listed company.

June was awarded the Rhodes Scholarship in the year 2020 and the Honourable Society of Gray’s Inn Jean Southworth Scholarship in the year 2019. In addition, she was awarded the Oxford University Press Prize for Best Overall Performance in First Year across All Degree Programmes in the year 2017, Sweet & Maxwell Prize for Best Overall Performance in Second Year across All Degree Programmes in the year 2018 and the City Law School Prize for Outstanding LL.M. Clinical Work in the year 2021. She was also placed on the Commendation List and ranked second in the nationwide Singapore Part A Bar Examinations in the year 2023.
